Welcome to our website!

Thornywait Golden Retrievers was established in 1996.
Our first litter of puppies was born in March 2000.

We have been UK's Top breeders of Golden Retrievers in the years 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2018, 2019 and 2021.
To date we have bred or owned 22 UK champions as well as more abroad.
We have also bred 60 stud book number holders and 20 Junior warrant winners.
We have had a go at working some of our dogs and have gained 2 show gundog working certificates with them.

Susanna is a judge and is qualified by the Royal kennel club to award Challenge certificates in Golden Retrievers.
She has had the privilege to award Challenge certificates on 4 occasions here in the UK and on 19 occasions abroad, all across Europe, in Russia, as well as Australia and New Zealand.
